About a year ago, Hydro Tek started using the PowerLight igniters on Beckett ADC burners. The change resulted in a decrease in the total amp draw by 2-3 amps from the burner, which takes a significant load off the battery and voltage regulator of 12VDC systems. Customers looking into replacing the older constant duty igniters (BMT04) on older 12VDC units can now use the (BMT12) PowerLight igniter as a replacement on their hot water pressure washers. This igniter can be wired in by using the Blue-white striped and solid White leads to connect with the Red lead from the burner motor. The Black lead will connect with the Black lead on the burner motor and the ground leads. If the burner is equipped with a cad cell connect it to Yellow leads from the PowerLight igniter and without a cad cell simply cap off the Yellow leads.
Quick Tip: When removing the old igniter cut the red and black leads on the BMT04 and leave the leads connected to the existing leads as a reference point for the leads on the replacement PowerLight igniter.
