Hydro Tek model SC & SCU operators: verify that the burner rocker switch is in the "off" position before starting up the gasoline or diesel powered systems. The burner switch should also be turned "off" before shutting off the system. Repeated start & stop of the generator while it is connected to a significant load will damage the capacitor. This requirement was also true with the previous 2900 watt generator supplied by Leroy Sommer for Hydro Tek pressure washing systems built prior to spring of 2012. Capacitors and other electrical components suffer when subjected to significant loads when they are not ready.
Other loads like vacuums, lights or pumps must also be isolated (switched off from generator) during start up and stop when being powered.
