Four pressure washer burner killers are:
1) Improper burner electrode gap (the electrode gap should not exceed ¼ inch)
2) Excessive heat exposure to igniter (the maximum sustained heat of components 140º, see below)
3) Dirt accumulation on the burner probes causing short and overload of the igniter.
4) Poor or low voltage to the burner system.
As of May 2009 the Hydro Tek 12vdc circuit allows the blower motor to remain on between gun cycles instead of cycling off to a full stop. This assists in the air circulating through the burner keeping the air moving around the igniter. Conversion solenoids are available for models built prior to May 2009.
