For proper trailer safety it is critical that you check the tires for proper inflation. Some things to remember when inflating a pressure washer trailer tire (or any tire for that matter).
- Use caution when filling tires (or anything else) with air. Be aware that unimaginable forces are developing in front of you, that can easily injure and remove body parts during this step.
- Properly observe and adjust for the resulting pressure increase change while filling the tire. On some tire air filler devices or “tire inflation gauges”, the pressure graduation marker remains hidden and isolated from the pressure source until the thumb activation button is released. Do not over pressurize the vessel or tire you are filling past its ratings & limits. Check the pressure frequently as you refill the tire.
- A pressure regulator with gauge must be employed when tires are filled with a portable air bottle.
- Say "no” or “stop” if the safety or security of your employees and customers come into question.
