Here are a few reminders everyone when checking & refilling pressure washer tires with air:
- Use caution when filling tires (or anything else) with air. Be aware that large forces are developing in front of you, that can easily injure your person or damage the pressure washer.
- Properly observe and adjust for the resulting pressure increase change while filling the tire. On some tire air filler devices or “tire inflator gauges”, the pressure graduation marker remains hidden and isolated from the pressure source until the thumb activation button is released. Do not over pressurize the vessel or tire you are filling past its ratings & limits.
- Tires on a pressure washer are much smaller than on your car or truck. Fill them in small incremenets between checking the pressure. Be careful to not overfill.
- A pressure regulator with gauge must be employed when tires are filled with a portable air bottle.
Say “no” or “stop” if of safety or security of your employee, customer, or yourself comes into question.
